Fishing
- Just for fun in our pond. Catch and release, please!
Garbage Collection
- Garbage collection service is not available. Please remove all garbage from premises upon checkout. Directions to the landfill are posted in the kitchen. Do not leave any garbage in the barn or outside, as it will attract pests.
- If you are only staying a weekend, as a courtesy we will care for garbage removal since the landfill is closed on Sundays. Please bag all garbage and leave in back mud room; do not leave outside.
Pets
- We welcome well behaved and house-trained pets. Please clean up after them!
Phone Use
- Cell phone service is limited on the property. A landline is available for local calls or short calls to the greater Buffalo area. We use the honor system: $0.50 for local calls, $1.00 for calls to Buffalo. For incoming calls, the phone number is (716) 965-8515.
Smoking
- Smoking is not permitted in the lodge.
Swimming
- Children and weak swimmers should wear life jackets while swimming. A supply of life jackets is kept in the barn.
Water Use
- The cottage is supplied by well water, which should be used sparingly, especially during dry summers. We suggest that you bring bottled water for drinking, as the well water can have a strong taste.
Visitors
- The cottage accommodates up to 12 overnight guests. No additional visitors are allowed at any time due to limited water supply and septic capacity. No campers, recreational vehicles, or tents are allowed on site. Exceeding capacity will result in loss of deposit/payment, eviction, and/or a $500 surcharge; strictly enforced.
